Welcome to this website of resources and discussion connected to Daniel Erlander’s book Manna and Mercy: A Brief History of God’s Unfolding Promise to Mend the Entire Universe.

Manna and Mercy is a 100-page hand-printed paraphrase of the bible, from Genesis to Revelation  --  a graphic novel of sorts, written with imagination, clarity, humor, and cartoons.  Built around the twin themes of food sharing and forgiveness, it helps us to look at scripture with new eyes and rediscover how it can become a means of life and grace rather than destruction and death.

Since it was first published in 1992, Manna and Mercy has sold more than 75,000 copies, but many people are just discovering it as a way to help people read the bible. This site shares some resources that have been developed by others, who after reading the book, found new ways to help teach Manna and Mercy in their context. Read more about Manna and Mercy in this Metro Lutheran article: The Gospel According to the Prairie Dogs.

You can order single copies or quantities of the book here, and we’ll ship it to you and send you and invoice.  Maná y misericordia in Spanish is available as a free PDF download.
